So how’s the ‘Writing Thing’ going? Well, I…

Have four pilot scripts ready and waiting for someone to love them (or rip them to shreds so I can fix them). Please reach out if that someone might be you:

  • Ink and Ashes: Eight years ago, Ava fled her hometown after her best friend went missing and the town blamed her for the crime. When her old boss goes missing on the night she returns, she’s swiftly dragged back into a world of danger – and magic. (The Script Lab Contest 2024 Quarterfinalist) Hour drama
  • Rink Rats: When a new kid arrives at her roller rink, Mac learns the difference between being lonely and being alone. Preschool quarter-hour
  • Unchosen Ones: Kai isn’t a Chosen One – one of the heroes destined from birth to save their world – like his idol Alessandro; he just wishes he was. But when Kai saves Alessandro in a chance encounter, both boys are set on a path that will lead them to question everything they’ve been taught about destiny. (A Semi-finalist for the Netflix Animation Apprentice program) Half-hour kids action-adventure
  • How to Roller Skate Through the Apocalypse: When magic appeared overnight and turned Steph and Jess’s suburban middle-school lives upside down, they rolled with it. But with the world this unstable, even skating to the store for a soda can be more of a quest than they bargained for. (Also a Semi-finalist for the Netflix Animation Apprentice program) Half-hour kids action-adventure

Currently am a screenwriter for Changing Lives Productions – better known as the Dhar Mann youtube channel, with over 24M subscribers. My videos have a combined 20M+ views.

Recently had my first micro fiction, “In Circles,” published in Fabula Argentea. You can read it here. Last year I had my first poem, “It Gets Heavy,” published in Divot Literary Journal.

Co-wrote Syndrome: A Kingdom Keepers Novella, a book in a New York Times bestselling series.

Wrote dozens of descriptions of everything from Star Wars characters to primates for Dimensions Guide, check them out here.

Have written every day for the past 1,804 days (and counting).

Am currently working on a series of children’s books for an education company that I can’t wait to see published.

Helped develop an animated older kids’ series for a small animation company, that we’re still hoping might find a home.

The great news is, I get paid to write! The bad news is, that means I don’t own the rights to almost any of my work (and for the ones I do own the rights to, I’m actively trying to exchange the rights for money), so I can’t put it here. But, you can view some of my work over on my blog. And, of course, samples are always available on request: please email brookefreia@gmail.com.
